Welcome to the Aviation Human Factors web site.This site is offered as a public service in the interest of improving general aviation safety. The content of this site is designed to help pilots understand how their decision-making skills, attitudes, and even their personality can influence the safety of flight. Exercises and tools are provided that let pilots evaluate their knowledge, skills and attitudes, and improve their Aeronautical Decision Making. The site content is based primarily on research conducted at the Federal Aviation Administration and at various universites under the sponsorship of the FAA. However, this site is not affiliated with the FAA or any other government organization. If you encounter a problem on this site, please let us know by sending in a Problem Report.
